Coming from her nursing and social work background, Lezleigh qualified as a Canine Myotherapist in 2006 after training at the Galen Therapy Centre in Coolham, Sussex and has built up her expertise in massage specialising in Canine Sports, Remedial and Holistic massage.
Through experiencing the benefit of Crystal Healing and Reiki Healing herself, Lezleigh has expanded her knowledge of these therapies by qualifying as a Reiki practitioner and studied Crystals and their healing power. She often uses these non invasive therapies when grooming or treating dogs who are unsettled or in pain and discomfort; often with incredible results, even dogs who just seem to be ‘out of sorts’ in themselves, which itself creates dis-ease within if left untreated.
Lezleigh has a keen interest in the muscular welfare of all dogs but her particular interest and strengths with massage and healing are in the two extremes of age – elderly dogs (especially dogs suffering arthritis) and young dogs.
With her knowledge of the muscular system and its associated injuries – along with her palpation skill she is able to detect soft tissue injuries (which do not show up on X rays).
The aim of the non invasive therapy of Massage, Reiki and Healing Crystals is to help give dogs a better quality of life through by enabling them to be comfortable within their skin.
Over the years whilst treating many dogs Lezleigh became aware that knotted/matted coats seriously restricts the dogs natural movements so decided to further her knowledge becoming a fully qualified dog groomer.
